It will be end of June and we would rather think of this show from a chaise longue than a studio.
The sun, hanging out, booze, tranquilizers for those who appreciate them, nose-deep in a beach novel, eyelids heavy. The slacker’s elegance. The nonchalance of large birds at 4:20, when laziness and delight prevail; to throw oneself into the water: A Bigger Splash.
The heat melts the metal and friends forge the bullets. The abolition of labor, the praise of idleness, sand left between pages. An decadent and vegetative vacation, the GPS is set and we have retreated to the back seat, mellowly high on benzos (Drink and drive).
This is the spine of the project, a hazy short story which can be used as a snorkel or pareo by the invited artists. The show will last a month; we would like the art to be in- as much as outside, to pass by or stay.
“Parce qu’on aime bien ici, parce qu’on est beaucoup,
nous on reste.”
